GRAE - 'Room In The Desert'
GRAE – the blossoming Canadian alt-pop artist releases her captivating new track ‘Room in the Desert’.
The song has a hypnotic atmosphere thanks to her soft, husky voice. An ambience that is captured in her music video, with the artistic angles and aesthetic lighting accentuating her empowering sensuality. Surprisingly she shares that she was lacking inspiration on the day she wrote this song, stating that: “instead of trying to fight that feeling, I embraced it. I decided to write a song about nothing, from nothing, using some random and interesting words we could find. At the time of writing, it had no real meaning, which was the intention, but now I actually find meaning in it which is interesting. I hope those who listen are able to find their own unique meaning too.”
This track provides a glimpse into her upcoming debut album Whiplash, which will be released in April. Her most recent EP, Permanent Maniac, had the title song featured in Billboard’s ‘Top 30 Pop Songs of the Year’. Following such success, it is exciting to see what more new-wave pop she will bring to the scene.
