Loading... Loading... Download(ed). Download 2022 has just gifted us with another little platter of artists that are set to grace the depths of Donington Park come June.

Joining the already announced, mega-stacked lineup for 2022 — headlined, of course, by three titans of rock and metal in Kiss, Iron Maiden, and Biffy Clyro — comes another 14 acts to help round off this beautiful bill. There’s Skindred, whose legendary antics are set to grace the main stage once more. Not to be outdone, the fantastically manic Alestorm have likewise been added to the main stage, the Scottish pirates on the Sunday to the Welsh rockers’ Friday.

Elsewhere on the bill, Brighton band Yonaka return once more after their triumphant set at the pilot in 2021, while Ru Paul’s Drag Race alumni Bimini — having released their punk anthem ‘God Save This Queen’ last year — are set to make their debut.

Along with these come another host of exciting, eccentric and electric acts. There’s horrorcore artist Dana Dentata with the grunge lord Kid Brunswick; industrial rock band SKYND with stoner rock band Red Fang; the chaotic Californian outfit Will Haven with the retro Colorado rip-roarers The Velveteers; metalcore-adjacent, Melbourne-based Banks Arcade and UK newcomers Heriot; LA rockers Dirty Honey with the melody infused death metal of Orbit Culture.

Also, two exciting updates to the already existing line-up (which, along with the headliners, features Deftones, A Day To Remember, Korn, Funeral For a Friend, Myles Kennedy and more!!) come in the form of some upgrades. UK breakout favourites As Everything Unfolds and Canadian wunderkind Spiritbox have both deservedly been pushed up from The Dogtooth Stage onto The Avalanche stage; the latter of which have also just announced their debut UK show in Islington the very next day!

That’s 14 fantastic acts poised to blister over the revered fields. There’s only one question left — how long are you willing to risk missing out on tickets?
