Jessie Reid - 'A Little Closer'
Jessie Reid takes influence from the likes of Ben Howard, Bon Iver and Lucy Rose and is ready to release her latest single - 'A Little Closer’, which features French-born multi-instrumentalist Adrien Latgé’s vocals.
Her latest singles have amassed over five million streams with support from Spotify editorial curators and over the past year she has been featured by BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson and Chris Hawkins, BBC Wales’s Janice Long. Recently, Jessie received the 2021 ‘Artist of the Year’ award from BBC Introducing in Shropshire and was named ‘Artist to Watch in 2022’ by Atwood Magazine. She was long listed for the Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition in 2019 and has travelled as far as New York and Brazil in the promotion of her debut singles.
With her unique percussive style of ‘laptap’ guitar playing, Jessie has become a firm Sofar Sounds favourite and has over 30 Sofar shows under her belt across three continents. She has had an exciting Summer playing at a number of UK festivals including Black Deer Festival, Moseley Folk Festival and Green Gathering. Jessie has appeared at 110 Above Festival, Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Camper Calling and Timber Festival in previous years.
