She's In Parties - 'Ritual'
Essex four-piece She’s In Parties have just released their debut EP ‘End Scene’ along with upbeat single ‘Ritual’ via Submarine Cat’.
The track comes after a string of equally stunning singles, such as soft and sprightly ‘Summer Haze’ and coyly haunting ‘L Word’. Tonight sees the band celebrating the EP’s release at Colchester’s Three Wise Monkeys, followed by a series of dates supporting Bleach Lab’s November tour and concluding with two headline shows in Bristol and Brighton (tickets here).
Opening track ‘Ritual’ delves into independence, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and breaking your everyday routine. Written after realising being alone isn’t the worst thing in the world and that it’s okay to change, even if that means you don’t gel with someone in the way you once did. Katie admits, “For so long I kept on going back to the same person because it was comfortable and easy but it wasn’t really what the both of us wanted, it was just easy to go back to. Realising that I prefer actually being by myself helped me grow into the person I wanted to become, don’t get me wrong, I'm still learning about life so the growth has only just begun.”
