Dylan – ‘Every Heart But Mine’

Fresh from the success of her most recent UK tour, Dylan returns with ‘Every Heart But Mine’, an anthemic record placing female empowerment at the forefront.

After two sold-out shows at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, pop-rock’s finest, Dylan, unveils her latest single ‘Every Heart But Mine’. The new track drops just ahead of the deluxe edition of her debut mixtape ‘The Greatest Thing I’ll Never Learn’, which is due out Friday 24th February.

Opening with an infectious rolling baseline and tongue-in-cheek lyrics, the record quickly instils an unapologetic sense of fearlessness within the listener. Alongside its old-school rock feel, the track serves as the perfect reminder of the importance of self-respect and knowing your worth, showcased in its most danceable and feel-good form.

“I have been waiting for this song to come out forever because for me, it is the biggest confidence booster of a lyric.” explains Dylan. “I think the song has many meanings behind it. I see it as a reference to love, as a reference to career moves and as a 'you have no idea what i'm capable of' feeling.’’

The gospel-infused chorus serves as the ultimate display of community, as Dylan’s leading vocals are complimented by a female powerhouse consisting of Cat Burns, Mae Muller, Beren Olivia, Rachel Chinouriri and Sody. The all-star choir not only adds depth and tonal diversity to already ethereal harmonies, but also cleverly compliment the track’s emphasis on celebrating and building up those around us. Describing the choice to feature other artists on the record, Dylan explains:

‘’I felt like there was something missing in the track, so I invited some of my favourite artists that I'd been hanging out with - who all happen to be incredible women - to sing harmonies and backing vocals on the song. It was everything the track needed.”

Along with the release of ‘Every Heart But Mine’, Dylan is currently on the European leg of her headline tour, before heading to the USA and Canada in early May to once again support Ed Sheeran.
