Bedroom High Club - 'What You Did'
Indie dreamers, Bedroom High Club share the second single ‘What You Did’ from their upcoming debut EP Above The Belt.
Barnsley boys Blue Brownlie (vocals, guitarist), Lewis Gelder (guitarist), Dan Partridge (drummer), James Ardron (bassist) make up the four-piece band that have climbed the ladder through a series of early gigs at Sheffield’s most iconic venue Leadmill.
Their diligence has paid off, the band are playing 110 Above Festival and The Great Escape Festival later this summer. But first and foremost comes their headline April UK tour where they will be playing in Stockton, Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds and Hull.
Their first single of the year ‘Courtesy’ won early praise from The Independent. It was raw and cathartic with its hoarse calls of “put an end to this misery”. The second glimpse into their debut EP, the raucous ‘What You Did’ follows this with sunkissed riffs and a bucket full of attitude.
Frontman Blue Brownlie explained more about the song saying: “‘What You Did’ is a track for when you’re proper fed up and ready to pack it all in”. Despite the resigned nature of the lyrics, ‘What You Did’ packs enough punch to assure us Bedroom High Club have far too much fight left in them to call it quits.
