Blu DeTiger – ‘Dangerous Game’
Blu DeTiger unveils her brilliantly bold single ‘Dangerous Game’, alongside announcing debut album ‘All I Ever Want Is Everything’.
Holding a reputation as one of the most in demand bassists for today’s pop scene (with her credits including Bleachers, FLETCHER, Caroline Polachek, Dominic Fike - just to name a few), Blu DeTiger has established herself as nothing short of a creative all-rounder. Now in the build up to her debut record, the New York-born artist is well on the way to solidifying her music trajectory.
Latest release ‘Dangerous Game’ kicks off the year for DeTiger, arriving just a few months after ‘Cut Me Down’ featuring Mallrat. Co-written with Casey Smith (Jonas Brothers, Tori Kelly), it sees the multi-hyphenate revel in the ecstasy of a whirlwind relationship. “People say love’s a dangerous game / But I wanna play, so will you be mine?” she sings in the earworm chorus.
Driven by an undercurrent of bouncing riffs and synthetic beats, the track seethes with fearlessly bold energy. Melding elements of art pop, disco, and funk, eclectic influences are tethered together by playfully seductive leading vocals. Suffused with a trademark irresistible bassline (let’s be honest, it wouldn’t be a Blu DeTiger track without one), it provides two and a half minutes of pure fun.
Continuing to develop the signature sound that has already seen the rising star support the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Charlie Puth, and Jungle, the alt-pop star is certainly proving herself as one to watch over the coming year. And with her debut album set for release March 29th, in addition to an accompanying North American headline tour beginning in April, it looks like we’ll be hearing much more from Blu DeTiger soon.
