FEET - 'The Real Thing'
A funky new alternative rock track was shared with the world by fast rising alt rock outfit FEET. ‘The Real Thing’ comes with a video and the announcement of the band’s fourth album ‘Make It Up’ which will be ours on the 14th of June.
Anthemic indie always does the trick, and FEET knows it. ‘The Real Thing’ is a catchy and driving track that comes with an upbeat and energetic video showcasing the band’s live set up combined with some rather eccentric scenes. It shows their tongue-in-cheek energy and personality, making them an intriguing watch and listen. They showed they were worth some attention with previously released singles ‘Petty Thieving’ and ‘English Weather’, which were more pungent and punk-influenced then their latest offering. They’ve taken their tempo down a peg, showcasing a more confident sound allowing them - and their listeners - to breathe while bopping along to the first single of the band’s upcoming longplayer.
“Being in a band is a big chunk of time in your life, but this is a choice we all make, and we don’t ever have to even think about coming back to FEET. It’s like our child, really, and we’re all the surrogate fathers of this band! That keeps us together, this desire to create and make something that’s truly great.”
Their upcoming album distils the FEET as we know them with a fine-tuned and cohesive sound that builds on the DNA that we heard on their debut. While staying true to themselves and their fans of the first hour, they progress and slowly move into a more permanent sound that’ll suit them for years to come. Besides; ‘The Real Thing’ is a song and sound that’ll suit us for years to come as well, we’re already humming along! It’s a promising first release of an album soon to be swooned over, and we’ll most definitely get the chance to sing along to it while FEET perform it live as they’re soon to embark on a UK and Europe tour this and next month supporting Psychedelic Porn Crumpets!
