Born Of Osiris - 'A Mind Short Circuiting'
Illinois born metalcore group Born Of Osiris has just dropped their latest single titled 'A Mind Short Circuiting', accompanied by an official visualiser, now available for streaming through Sumerian Records. Known for harbouring some of the most progressive and beloved bands, Sumerian Records boasts a roster that includes Bad Omens, Slaughter to Prevail, and Asking Alexandria. Given Sumerian Records' history of fostering highly successful bands, it's clear that Born Of Osiris is set to make a significant impact on the metal scene.
On the new single, the band commented: "'A Mind Short Circuiting' embodies the essence of our roots. The combination of ethereal melodies with down-tuned guitars has helped inspire lyrics that evoke darker emotions. We are sure that our OG fans will appreciate this one.”
After engaging with their fans on social media about their latest single, there has been an overwhelming desire for more, with hopes of surpassing the success of their hit album 'Angel or Alien'. Despite the challenge, the single's remarkably alternating tempos and shifting moods suggest that achieving this feat may not be impossible after all.
The visualiser accompanying the single showcases a range of intricate 3D effects, indicating significant effort and thought. These effects are reminiscent of the single's artwork, which features a face devoid of features alongside a plethora of surreal imagery.
In 2023, the band released 'Torchbearer', their first single and music video since their 2021 album 'Angel or Alien', featuring hits like 'White Nile', the title track, 'Poster Child', 'Shadowmourne', and 'Oathbreaker'. These tracks have collectively amassed over 13.6 million streams on Spotify and nearly 6 million views on YouTube. Rightfully so, as this album ultimately defined the band, showcasing to the scene and the community what they are about. However, their new single has undeniably demonstrated that they have much more to offer to the scene, making it an exciting time for both the fans and the band.
The band's UK tour kicks off this March, with tickets still available for a handful of shows, taking them through Birmingham, Dublin, Manchester, Glasgow, Nottingham, and London, with Attila, Aviana, and Crown Magnetar.
