Bon Iver - 'Everything Is Peaceful, Love'
Bon Iver’s next chapter begins as they release new single ‘Everything is Peaceful, Love’.
Bon Iver’s discography more than exceeds his delicate collaboration with St. Vincent for the screen-adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight: New Moon. Despite being played every August through November by avid hoa-hoa season celebrators, the haunting and melancholy tinged “Roslyn” is only a drop in the ocean of what Bon Iver has to offer.
Bon Iver boasts four equally spaced records and a plethora of singles in a discography that spans an impressive decade and a half. Marking his first release since his surprise feature on Charli xcx’s remix version of “I think about it all the time”, “Everything Is Peaceful, Love” sees Bon Iver entering the fABLE era, leaving behind the folktronica synths of “i,i" and returns to his roots of crisp, serene offerings.
Released in conjunction with the announcement of his upcoming fifth album, “SABLE fABLE" (due out April 11th). The record is made whole by incorporating the “SABLE,” EP (released October last year) as the first three tracks, with “Everything Is Peaceful Love” being the latest to be enlisted. Featuring a narrative that follows a protagonist completely overwhelmed with infatuation (“every littlе thing is love”), and finds himself awash with peace and tranquillity (“But damn, if I'm not climbing up a tree right now / And everything is peaceful love”).
Promoting the effected vocals that Bon Iver has quickly become synonymous with, the track spotlights a stripped back soundscape, with intermittent effects, and the comfort of consistent percussion. Here, Bon Iver exhibits his vocals for the full range they have to offer, from soaring intonations to more resonant, soothing orations.
“Everything Is Peaceful, Love” emerges into 2025 with a rose-tinted, tender, passion-soaked new era that sees Bon Iver return to his beginnings with a more refined approach.
