Deaf Echo - 'Talking Around'
Indie-rock duo, Deaf Echo, are back with a brand-new single - 'Talking Around'.
'Talking Around' is a dreamy indie-rock track that blends soft whispered vocals, dreamy guitars and elements of new wave that lead to a finale radiating with a fervent sense of longing for a past love. Perfect for a thought ridden night time drive, the song builds up by navigating through the loneliness and regret of a failed relationship as promises from the past haunt the present. The outro bursts open with a profession for a love that once was, but will likely never be again.
Deaf Echo is a Los Angeles-based duo comprised of Lebanese-American singer/songwriter, Amir Hammoud and Mexican-American multi-instrumentalist, Jesús Omar Lopez. Fusing the duo’s wide range of influences (Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, Jeff Buckley, The Smiths, etc.) alongside their frontman’s abstract lyricism results in a carefully crafted sound that can go anywhere from melancholic indie-pop songs to upbeat rock tunes.
