Seafret - 'Signal Fire'
Alongside the announcement of their new album 'Fear Of Emotion' - Seafret have just released their latest single 'Signal Fire'.
Following a slew of recent singles including the BBC Radio 2 A-listed “Five More Seconds “ (with KT Tunstall) and over 2 billion streams across their catalogue including their viral hit “Atlantis” sitting pretty at over 1 billion and counting, Yorkshire duo Seafret return with the announcement of their long-awaited fourth studio album ‘Fear of Emotion’, set for release on March 27th via Nettwerk, alongside a stirring new single “Signal Fire”.
A poignant, banjo-laced anthem about seeking solace and connection in the midst of inner turmoil, “Signal Fire” showcases the open-hearted lyricism and cinematic sweep that have become Seafret’s hallmark. Written with a universal message of hope at its core, it’s a track that builds from quiet reflection to emotional release.
“‘Signal Fire’ was written as a reminder that help exists and you never have to face the darkness on your own,” the band explain. “The story in the verses centres on a relationship, but we wanted the chorus to be more universal and reach beyond that.”
The single offers a powerful first glimpse into the world of ‘Fear of Emotion’, a bold, richly layered collection born from a year of creative renewal. Written and recorded across 2025, and produced by long-time collaborators Steve Robson and Sam Miller, the album finds Jack Sedman and Harry Draper reconnecting with their roots while pushing the limits of their sound.
