Pond - 'Lights of Leeming'
'Lights of Leeming', Pond's newest release, is an explosion of electro synths and 80's vibes.
The release is a feel-good track. With the continuous upbeat tempo and entertaining vocals, this song is meant for a sunny spring's day. The self-acclaimed 'polished psych-pop group continuously grow and evolve with time. With over 12 years under their belts in the music industry, musical perfection shines through on their recent release. Instrumentally, 'Lights of Leeming' is flawless and graces a superbly professional execution.
When talking about the lyricism and the meaning behind the track, Nicholas Allbrook, the frontman of Pond, divulged that "Lights of Leeming is a true story about the crushing boredom of suburbia and the wild and destructive things people do to break the monotony, to see that there's at least something you can do to affect your surrounding.". He added that "even if it's just breaking something or getting in trouble. It's pretty dumb fun, but dumb fun is important, right?".
Friday 20th May is a date to put in the diary if you are a lover of Pond. The deluxe edition of their most recent album '9' is set for release on a double LP. The LP features a holographic sleeve, an exclusive 12-page booklet and four entirely brand new tracks. The group have released an impressive nine studio albums since 2010. They are excited to showcase their talent on stage on their upcoming tour dates. There is a show for everyone on their tour, with their first stop being Australia in April and their final stops being their UK and European tour in May and June.
