Redhook - 'Imposter' ft Yours Truly
Two powerhouse rock/metal bands Redhook and Yours Truly join forces on a powerful new single ‘Imposer’.
Aussie rockers Redhook and Yours Truly are a match made in heaven. Releasing their first collaboration single “Imposter”, a alt-rock break up tune. A female empowered single that features two of the must watch female rockers (RedHook's Emmy Mack and Yours Truly's Mikaila Delgad) giving us killer girl vibes we didn't know we needed.
“Imposter” is a single from Redhook's forthcoming debut album “Postcard From A Living Hell” which is being released on 21st of April.
“Imposter” is a heavy dark anthem that speaks of the heartbreaking moment when the person you love turns into someone completely different and lying to you. It's soul crushing, but with this smashing single, it makes you scream your lungs out. For good reason, it's time to let those feelings out on this hard hitting track. With smashing drums, catchy melody and powerful vocals/lyrics it's in your face and empowering. It's no lie of this single alone that Redhook and Yours Truly are pretty good together creating this atmospheric track and bringing women to the front. They are also showing off the great rock/metal scene here in Australia. I hope it's not the last time they collaborate as this is a dream come true.
Redhook also released the “Imposter” music video directed by Colin Jeffs. The storyline was quite a twist to the single. Still on the idea of a partner, someone lying about who they really are, but this time Emma Mack and Mikaila Delgad were the imposters. Portraying man-eating creatures as they set up their boyfriend to be killed. It's a captivating video, where you can sink your teeth into it. The music video matches the high energy of the track and takes you on this dark and grimios journey. Matching the track perfectly and is one of my favorite music videos of this year so far.
“Imposter” has really set the high standard of what to expect from their debut album ‘Postcard From A living Hell. From this single alone it's going to be a rockin 'album. I can’t wait to scream the chorus as the lyrics are already in my head and heart on Redhook’s next tour. They will be making waves across Australia on their headline tour and on another tour with the one and only The Smashing Pumpkins in April/May. So Aussies get your hands on some tickets. Maybe we might be lucky with a appearance from Yours Truly.
