Hot Wax - 'Treasure'
Before their UK tour, HotWax release their new explosive single, ‘Treasure’ which is taken from their forthcoming debut EP.
The trio consists of vocalist and guitarist Tallulah Sim-Savage, bassist Lola Sam and drummer Alfie Sayers. Even though they’ve recently left school, they are already confirmed to share the festival stages with Queens of Stone Age, The Strokes and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs this summer. Their electric live energy and sound has won the support of the Nova Twins, Wolf Alice, Jack Saunders, and caught the eye of Celine creative director Hedi Slimane. The single, ‘Treasure’ is the first to be released since signing to Marathon Artists, the home of Courtney Barnett, Pond and more. The band is already dominating local scenes in the South East and will be embarking on a mini UK tour before they join Pearl Hearts on tour this spring.
With 4 self-released singles out, including the 2020 releases of ‘Stay Cool’ and ‘Pat The Killer Cat’ which was followed by the 2021 release of ‘When We’re Dead’ and the 2022 single, ‘Barbie (not yours)’ it is clear that HotWax harnesses the firepower of grunge pioneers, as their songs come armed with mighty choruses, and they possess the imaginative brilliance to stake out a new landscape in guitar music.
The alternative rock single ‘Treasure’ is taken from the band’s forthcoming debut EP, ‘A Thousand Times’. ‘Treasure’ is accompanied by a fantastic official video which was directed by Nick Suchak and Louis Elliott. The visuals show the trio showcasing their talents as it switches from a outstanding performance, a standard rock classic, to HotWax on the beach. It is undeniable that this band has amazing chemistry and intoxicating energy.
