Stone - 'I Gotta Feeling'
Liverpool four-piece Stone return with new single ‘I Gotta Feeling’.
Liverpudlian quartet STONE are no strangers whipping out pop-infused rock cuts from their repertoire and ‘I Gotta Feeling’ is their latest sonic feat. Comprised of Fin Power (vocals/guitar), Elliot Gill (lead guitar), Sarah Surrage (bass) and Alex Smith (drums), have an extensive and fruitful back catalogue of energy-drenched singles that demand to be heard. Labelling themselves as the “the underground voice for the lost youth”, the spanking new track boasts social commentary via a powerful spoken-word performance. The band have already firmly established their name on the indie rock scene after securing supporting slots with the likes of Sam Fender, YungBlud and Inhaler.
‘I Gotta Feeling’ follows on from April’s release, ‘Left Right Forward’, and is brimming with driving guitar lines, hard-hitting percussion and infectious, biting vocals. Sitting in the same sonic vein as the likes of Yard Act and Idles, STONE’s stadium-worthy anthems are set to propel their undeniable momentum even further. The track explores the toxic mentality of the bar environment, overwhelming egos, and the liberation of escaping this trap.
Speaking on the track, frontman Power reflects, “I feel like the song helps to show self-insight, and that lot of people will relate to it”. After 2022’s breakout EP ‘Punkadonk’ we can only hope that the handful of singles STONE have churned out this year culminates in another, longer project.
Promising and commanding, STONE aren’t going anywhere.
