Sarah von Reis - 'Phenomenon'
Fresh from the release of her debut EP ‘Melancholia High Season’ - Sarah von Reis releases the first single ‘Phenomenon’ from her upcoming debut album.
A lesbian anthem where von Reis's mysterious voice is mixed with psychedelic guitars and seductive bass clarinet that together offer an end the summer-banger! Despite her young age, Sarah von Reis has had a long journey in the music industry as a member of the pop sensation Dolly Style, breaking up with them because she was "too political" and making a documentary film about the experience, trips back and forth to Los Angeles, etc.
She says: 'Phenomenon'' is about fuc.... Or more precisely about coming and in that moment feeling like you are being resurrected from the dead. The song is a lesbian declaration of love and the sexiest thing I've written so far. I chose to use a bass clarinet because it is the hottest instrument out there. I expect a lot of people - both queers and straights - will make out to it. The single is produced by the Swedish duo diandian.
Sarah von Reis is originally from Gothenburg and says that her music is strongly influenced by the melodic language of Swedish jazz, the indie pop from her teenage years and a great passion for telling stories. The future is open for a new Swedish pop sensation.
