Tom Grennan - 'Full Attention'
Bedford-grown alternative pop star Tom Grennan is back with the release of explosive pop anthem ‘Full Attention’ taken from his upcoming fourth studio album ‘Everywhere I Went Led Me To Where I Didn’t Want To Be’ which is due out in August.
The ever rising, multi-faceted alternative pop artist has unveiled another side of his musical palette with the release of ‘Full Attention’ which opens instantly oozing charisma and with the fast paced, high energy we have come acquainted with when it comes to the sounds of Grennan. Euphoric and colourful, and with a powerful opening line in “I just want to give you my… Full attention, for the first time I feel alive”, Tom instantly captivates listeners, fans old and new, and those stumbling across his music coincidentally. On the track he shares wandering piano chords, infectious grooves and his signature stirring vocals, not at any point shying away from being unapologetically lively.
On his new single, Tom says: “We live in a world full of noise and distraction, heightened by social media on top of the usual demands and trappings of everyday life. We have lost focus of what truly matters, and this song is about navigating that noise and turning it to silence, all the negativity in the world including that of my chequered past.” The singer-songwriter turns personal struggles into pop gold, and stands loud and proud leaving all unwanted noise and old baggage behind. ‘Full Attention’ follows previously released singles ‘Higher’, ‘Shadowboxing’, and ultimate pop bop ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ and forms the perfect introduction to this new and confident sound Grennan is due to showcase on the album he worked on together with producer Justin Tranter.
Keen to explore a new sound, the new album, ‘Everywhere I Went Led Me To Where I Didn’t Want To Be’ is positive despite alluding to a tough time for Tom mental health-wise, “this album is about me, revived. Now I’m at a place where I DO want to be!” Coinciding with the album release, Tom Grennan will embark on his biggest UK and Ireland arena tour to date this September, with eleven dates having been announced… So far?
